Libraries: Chic Scott's Places for Exploration and Creation (and a preview of his latest work!)
Saturday, November 9, 7:00-9:00 pm

Over the last dozen years, local writer and mountaineer Chic Scott has written six books, including Ski Trails in the Canadian Rockies, Summits and Icefields (Volumes 1 and 2), Deep Powder and Steep Rock, and Mountain Romantics: The Whyte’s of Banff, all of which have been created in the fabulous atmosphere of Banff's local libraries: the Banff Public Library, the Whyte Museum Library and Archives, and the Paul D. Fleck Library and Archives.

In this talk, Chic will discuss how important libraries have been to him over the years and why he chooses to write in the local library. The presentation will finish with a sneak peak at Chic's latest book on the history of Mount Assiniboine.
