Character. That is the word that comes to mind when travelling through the northwest community of Scenic Acres. From the diverse range of home styles from single-family estate style to condo townhomes, there is a home for everyone at every stage of life. The community itself, has grown into a consistenly desirable location for residents re-locating from other parts of the city and all points beyond.
Created in 1981, Scenic Acres is in the heart of the northwest.
It is well served by the major transportation arteries that surround it. Crowchild Trail to the north, Nosehill Drive to the east and south and Stoney Trail to the west. This makes getting to all points in the city quite easy and quick. The community also shares access to the C-Train station which means you can leave your car at home and be downtown in a 15 or 20 minutes depending on the time of day. Bus routes through the area are also convenient as well.
Access to Everything
There are many shops and services in the district of Scenic Acres, plus there are malls, shopping, dining, groceries and more short distances away with everything you need within a matter of minutes.
Scenic Acres is a beautiful area with wide open places for year-round recreation. The community centre has a rink for hockey and skating in winter, which is converted to beach volleyball in Calgary’s warmer months. The community is proud of the Crowchild Twin Arenas, which is a great facility for minor hockey players of all ages.
A short jaunt down Nosehill Drive you’ll find to wonderful parks on this side of the Bow River. Bowmont and Baker Park are two area treasures for Walkers, hikers, dog-lovers, disc-golfers and those who just want to relax and have a picnic.
